We’re excited to announce today that Unbabel has won three important awards for our customer-centric approach and rapid growth in the U.S. market. These awards show true momentum for our language operations solution, which helps some of the world’s most successful customer service organizations deliver multilingual support at scale.

As a part of our vision, we’re obsessed with building products and teams that make language a key element of global success. It’s inspiring to see these prominent industry publications and leading organizations recognize the importance of language to building customer loyalty and trust.

Here’s a little more about the award wins this week.

European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards 

First, Unbabel is announcing our second consecutive win in the European Contact Centre and Customer Service Awards (ECCCSA). This is the largest awards program in the customer contact industry, which also recognized organizations, such as Shell Energy, Gousto, and eBay, as well as Unbabel customer and partner Electronic Arts (EA) and Teleperformance, that “value their people, continually innovate to improve customer experience and operate efficiently and effectively.” 

This year’s Gold winning category for Unbabel and customer, Microsoft, was for the “Best use of AI and associated technologies.” The case study was selected for its ability to:

  • Match or surpass native performance, with an average CSAT improvement of 9% and HR improvement of 17%. The solution met and surpassed the diverse cultural needs of our global customer base.
  • Create a more robust operating model by helping clients respond flexibly to surges in demand, consolidate volume, and drive business continuity across multiple languages.
  • Realize significant cost savings, saving our customers millions of dollars in 2020, helping them attract and retain expert agents, and reduce reliance on expensive and inefficient teams.

Inc. Magazine: California’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

We’re thrilled to be ranked No. 70 in the second annual Inc. 5000 Regionals: California list, the most prestigious ranking of the fastest-growing California-based private companies. Born of the annual Inc. 5000 franchise, this regional list represents a unique look at the most successful companies, such as Under Armour, Microsoft, Timberland, Pandora, and Patagonia, within the California economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent businesses.

The companies on this list show stunning rates of growth across all industries in California. Between 2017 and 2019, these 250 private companies had an average growth rate of 535 percent and, in 2019 alone, they employed more than 40,000 people and added nearly $7 billion to the California economy. Companies based in major metro areas like Unbabel—Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and San Diego—brought in the highest revenue overall.

CUSTOMER Magazine Product of the Year

Last but not least, TMC, a global, integrated media company helping clients build communities in print, in person and online, has recognized Unbabel’s language operation solution as a 2021 CUSTOMER Product of the Year Award, presented by CUSTOMER magazine.

In good company with our partner, Concentrix, the CUSTOMER Product of the Year Award recognized companies, such as Pegasystems, Support.com, Intermedia, Dialpad, and Avaya, that are advancing the call center, CRM and teleservices industries. The award highlights products that enable their clients to meet and exceed customer expectations. 

With Unbabel, some of the world’s biggest brands have improved upon important metrics like Customer Satisfaction Scores (CSAT), Net Promoter Scores (NPS), First Contact Resolution (FCR) and more. Beyond the metrics alone, we’re all about making call center agents’ jobs more fulfilling, easier and efficient.
