“Unbabel 2017: A new ecosystem of Machine + Crowd Translation” is a project led by Unbabel and co-funded by Portugal 2020 – Sistema de Incentivos à Investigação e Desenvolvimento Tecnológico (SI I&DT)

Unbabel’s R&D project “Unbabel 2017” combined artificial and human intelligence to create new knowledge in translation. The solution features complex algorithms that detect and correct errors, enable automatic quality evaluations, and reduce prices. The project aimed to increase error-free documents from 85% to 95%, reduce translation time, and lower the price per word.
