At Unbabel, we’re always working to improve the way our customers manage their global communications. This quarter, we launched several new features designed to enhance translation quality, streamline workflows, and boost security. Whether you’re a long-time customer or just getting started, these updates will help you achieve more with less effort.
Quality Estimation in Polyglot
We’re introducing Quality Estimation in Polyglot, our translation editor. This feature uses AI to automatically spot potential translation issues. It highlights errors within segments, making it easier for translators to focus on corrections and finish their tasks faster. With this added support, customers can expect smoother translation workflows and improved accuracy.
Currently, Quality Estimation is available for revision tasks, with plans to extend it to post-editing in future updates.
Improvements to Client Review
We’ve made two updates to improve our Client Review feature, making it easier to manage and use.
Client Review User Management
Managing Client Review accounts just became simpler. With our new self-service feature, teams can now create, edit, and manage Client Review accounts directly in the Portal. This update, found in the “Client Reviewers” tab of the User Management app, eliminates back-and-forth communication and speeds up the account creation process.
Client Review in the Reports App
We’ve added new controls for customers using the Client Review module in the Reports App. Now, you can filter out Client Review to view speed metrics with and without this module. Both the Summary and Quality tabs will show a disclaimer when data includes Client Review, helping customers understand its impact on their metrics.
Updated User Management
We’ve revamped our User Management app to make it more intuitive and easier to use. Here are the key improvements:
- Create multiple users and assign roles in one step.
- Deactivate users with one click.
- Resend pending invitations to users who haven’t accepted yet.
- View user profiles for a clear overview.
- Easily edit user information for quick updates.
- Filter users by role and status for better control.
New Restricted User Role
We’ve introduced a new Content Submitter Restricted Role to the User Management app. This role limits users’ access to only the projects they’ve submitted in the Projects App. This provides added security and meets high privacy standards for sensitive content.
Key features include:
- View: Users can only see projects they’ve submitted.
- Download: Users can only download projects they’ve submitted that are marked as Done.
This enables admins to assign roles that restrict access based on set criteria, ensuring compliance and secure project handling.
Note on multi-role permissions:
If a user has higher permissions, like Admin or Owner, they will still be able to access all projects, including those submitted by restricted users.
Preview Files in the Projects App
Our new File Filter Preview feature adds more control when setting up projects. Now, you can download a preview before finalizing file filter selections to see how formatting will be affected. While the preview won’t show translated content, it provides valuable insight into how the filter settings will impact the final output, helping to select the correct file filter.
